A Future We Can’t Afford? Young People and the (High) Cost of Vancouver

Creating a space for young city makers to share their views on affordability in Vancouver, and what can be done to improve it, Metropolitan Collective, together with our content partner two by Fore, organized an evening of discussion and debate at the Museum of Vancouver. Attended by well over 100 people, the evening provided a diverse group of talented young city makers (planners, designers, activist and city commissioner) with a rare platform to share their personal views and coping strategies on Vancouver’s affordability crisis, as well as a number of steps to resolve it. Read more in Katelyn McDougall’s interview with the Georgia Straight and listen to Mitchell Reardon’s interview with Evolution 107.9.
